Landscape Field Manager

The Field Manager oversees the majority of landscape maintenance field operations for a team or crew comprising 2-5 individuals within the Landscape Maintenance division. They manage the procurement and planned utilization of resources, including equipment and materials, to ensure efficient use and successful completion of work within budget, adhering to safety guidelines and quality standards. The Field Manager also supports the crew by providing guidance and assisting in fulfilling their responsibilities as required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of field workers and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively

  • Oversee groundskeeping activities, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns

  • Manage landscape maintenance projects, such as planting flowers, shrubs, and trees

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas that require maintenance or improvement

  • Provide leadership and guidance to field workers, including training and performance evaluations

  • Collaborate with clients and other managers to understand their specific needs and preferences for their outdoor spaces and duties.

  • Develop and implement plans for lawn care, garden maintenance, and tree care.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field (2 years preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of groundskeeping techniques and practices

  • Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards

  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
